Teletubbies Hill in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province - Indonesia

Located near to Telang Hill, there is another recommended highland for tourists to visit. The name is Teletubbies Hill and it is located in Tanah Laut Regency in Indonesia. To be exact, it resides in Tampang Village and belongs to Pelaihari City. Another name is Rimpi Hill and it offers a wonderful landscape for tourists to explore. Due to the pristine environment and beautiful scenery, tourists may feel like spending a vacation in a New Zealand! The hill is, somehow, suitable for sightseeing, trekking, and witnessing the soothing sunrise. In terms of popularity, it is similar to its sibling (Telang Hill) definitely.

The Nuance
The hill got its name not without a reason. It is because the landscape is similar to that of kids program (Teletubbies). It is covered by savanna and several trees. No wonder, it offers both peaceful and stunning atmosphere to visitors. On the top of the hill, tourists can find a post for resting. It also becomes the spot where other trekkers gather, actually. During trekking, tourists may also encounter a group of livestock! These animals indeed become a great object for photography.

Exploring Teletubbies Hill
The first allure of Teletubbies Hill is the presence of vast savanna. Such grassland looks so soothing and gives a peaceful feeling to tourists. No wonder, such nuance helps trekkers to ignore the tiredness of trekking. Plus, the location has lesser visitors than other hills located in South Kalimantan Province. That means tourists won’t find many people once they arrive at the top of the hill, which is a good thing. It feels like spending the time on a private hill, for sure!

The next allure of Teletubbies Hill is the group of livestock owned by the locals. These include cows and goats! These animals are cute and docile, so tourists can approach them comfortably. At a glance, it looks like a New Zealand’s savanna! Seeing majestic animals on green landscape indeed becomes a wonderful experience for everyone. The only problem is the route. First-timers may find it confusing to get to the peak. In this case, they need to get information from the locals beforehand. As an alternative, hiring a guide is a good idea.

Once arriving at Tampang Village, tourists can park their vehicle first. The next thing to do is none other than trekking. The distance, from the starting point to the peak of Teletubbies Hill, is 200 meters. Be careful, the route is a little bit steep so everyone should walk cautiously. It is also recommended to carry bottled water and snacks. One thing, do not ever litter
